Fanuc Line Tracking Manuall
A Remtec designed robotic system using two FANUC SR-6iA SCARA robots and a custom feeding system has been successfully improving loading and unloading efficiency for tubes of pet flea drops. The robots provide visual line tracking to randomly pick and place one, two, or three tubes depending on the needs of retail product package configuration.

Custom robotic system from Kaufman Engineered Systems utilizes a FANUC M-2iA Series Delta robot to orient cans with the assistance of FANUC iR vision and line tracking to be packed into cases and trays.
FANUC will showcase the DR-3iB/6 STAINLESS robot that uses 3DV iRVision and iRPickTool line tracking software to pick randomly oriented pieces of chicken from a continuous infeed conveyor. Equipped with a soft robotics gripper, the robot picks chicken breasts and reorients them onto an outfeed conveyor. The cell features high-speed picking with product re-orientation.

The operator manually loads thermoformed trays into high-capacity tray magazines. Syringes enter the starwheel infeed via an infeed track that connects to the syringe-filling equipment at a rate of 125 syringes per minute. A starwheel picks syringes and lays them in carriers on the infeed conveyor. The first FANUC robot uses vacuum EOAT to pick a tray and, with the help of line tracking, places it on the lugged tray transport conveyor. A second robot, also equipped with line tracking, picks five syringes from the syringe infeed conveyor, loads three in the tray, and rotates the remaining two syringes 180-degrees before placing them to complete the tray. Any missed syringes fall into a soft discharge bin to be manually re-introduced into the robotic tray-loading cell.
Note: New employees will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, subject to potential reasonable accommodation due to medical issues or sincerely held religious beliefs.\r\n\r\nThis position is responsible for providing technical services in the area of process controls and instrumentation for Ormat's operating facilities including specification, installation, configuration, and maintenance of process control system elements. \r\n\r\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDevelop programs and perform changes for PLC-based control systems to implement the defined control logic\r\n\tDevelop and modify programs for the Human Machine Interface (HMI) software to implement interface requirements\r\n\tPerform troubleshooting and repairs of plant instrumentation and electrical systems as required\r\n\tImplement process control solutions for process improvement and new projects\r\n\tConsult with maintenance, operations, engineering, and management concerning process control and instrumentation\r\n\tAssists operations management in identifying and improving plant electrical and controls equipment, process control methodology, and data tracking records.\r\n\tEvaluates and finds causes for equipment, procedural, and conditional control systems inefficiencies\r\n\tDevelops cost-effective solutions for equipment issues and operational longevity\r\n\tSpecify, install, configure, calibrate and maintain instrumentation, control system, and electrical protection equipment\r\n\tThe ability to respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations and quickly access all areas of the plants\r\n\tSchedule and coordinate field related activities in conjunction with the operations management\r\n\tStrictly adhere to and enforce safety procedures as required by ORMAT, CAPP, and OSHA\r\n\tMust be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner, enter and exit the vehicle without assistance, remain alert while driving for a continuous period of time, and read and understand maps.\r\n\tOccasional to frequent travel to plants throughout the United States\r\n\tPerform special projects and other tasks as needed or assigned\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED\r\n\r\n\r\n\tThe ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment as would be acquired in three to four years of high school with professional training and\/or college courses in related fields\r\n\tThree (3) years of experience in the power production or similar process industries with hands-on experience in operations, maintenance and project implementation, Allen Bradley and GE Fanuc PLC experience preferred\r\n\tExperience in installation and calibration of process control elements and electrical measurement devices\r\n\tThe ability to read and create process control documentation\r\n\tExperience with similar industry SCADA systems and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems\r\n\tThis position requires a high level of confidentiality, initiative and the ability to work with minimal or no supervision \r\n\tThe ability to drive decisions and initiatives and to deal effectively with a high degree of ambiguity and uncertainty\r\n\tStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a problem-solving environment\r\n\tMust be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation.
