For a more detailed error message, look into your function'sbuild logs, as wellas your function'sruntime logs. If itis unclear why your function failed to execute its global scope, considertemporarily moving the code into the request invocation, usinglazy initialization of the global variables. This allows you to add extra log statements around your client libraries, whichcould be timing out on their instantiation (especially if they are calling otherservices), or crashing/throwing exceptions altogether. Additionally, you can tryincreasing the function timeout.

If it does not crash, then the problem is with your user profile. In that case, you can consider deleting your old profile (probably undesirable) and using the new one. If you want to keep the old profile (likely), then delete the new User Data folder and rename the old one back to User Data (consider making a backup copy). Now run Chrome again and clear your history. (If it only happens with some URLs, then open the History page (Ctrl+H), click Edit items... in the top-right corner, and delete just the offending items.
Here's a slightly dated diagram of the dependencies. In particular, WebKit isreplaced by blink/renderer. A module that is lower can't include code from ahigher module directly (i.e. content can't include a header from chrome), buttalks to it using embedder APIs.
The first thing you should do if Google Chrome keeps crashing on your iPhone or Android device is to restart the app. Doing so erases some of the temporary files stored from your last browsing session and possibly, fixes lots of bugs causing the app to malfunction.

While there's concern over the sophisticated techniques used by black-hat hackers, sometimes a simple code error is enough to do some damage. Just as a microscopic germ can take down a healthy immune system, a recently discovered short string of characters can crash a whole Google Chrome browser.
Chromium has a similar reader mode to Firefox. In this case it is called DOM Distiller, which is an open source project. It is disabled by default, but can be enabled using the chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode flag, which you can also make persistent. Not only does DOM Distiller provide a better reading experience by distilling the content of the page, it also simplifies pages for print. Even though the latter checkbox option has been removed from the print dialog, you can still print the distilled page, which basically has the same effect.
Chromium can save incorrect data about your GPU in your user profile (e.g. if you use switch between an Nvidia card using Optimus and Intel, it will show the Nvidia card in chrome://gpu even when you are not using it or primusrun/optirun). Running using a different user directory, e.g, chromium --user-data-dir=$(mktemp -d) may solve this issue. For a persistent solution you can reset the GPU information by deleting /.config/chromium/Local\ State.
